Japan Cultural Expo Special Event: Ainu Culture Festival
Japan Cultural Expo Special Event: Ainu Culture Festival was held to raise public interest in multiculturalism and Ainu culture, which values harmonious coexistence with nature. The event was organized by the Foundation for Ainu Culture, Agency for Cultural Affairs, and Japan Arts Council as a Project Organized or Co-organized by the Japan Cultural Expo in fiscal year 2021.
The Japan Cultural Expo is a nationwide, year-long showcase of the beauty of Japan that has continued since the prehistoric Jomon period under the overarching theme of “Humanity and Nature in Japan” through a diverse range of content, including art exhibitions, performing art productions, and art festivals.
This video is intended to convey the appealing qualities of Ainu culture, including its diversity and harmony with nature, to people who were unable to join the Festival. Enjoy!
